Crystal Maintenance

Care For your Stones

Crystal maintenance keeps crystals in good physical conditions and protects their highest possible vibratory state, removing negative frequencies that may be picked up.

Purifying stones or crystals is a common practice in many spiritual and healing traditions. There are various methods believed to cleanse or purify stones to rid them of any previous energies or impurities they might have picked up.

Some popular methods include:

1. Water: Rinse your stones under running water. You can use natural running water like a stream or river, or simply hold them under a faucet. Some stones are sensitive to water, so be cautious as water can damage certain types of crystals.

2. Sunlight or Moonlight: Place the stones in direct sunlight or moonlight for a few hours or overnight. This method is believed to recharge and cleanse the stones using the energy of the sun or the moon.

3. Smudging: Pass the stones through the smoke of sage, cedar, palo santo, or other cleansing herbs. The smoke is thought to clear negative energy from the stones.

4. Saltwater Soak: Submerge the stones in a bowl of water mixed with sea salt or Himalayan salt. Be cautious as some stones can be damaged by salt or water.

5. Selenite: Place the stones on or near a selenite charging plate or selenite stick. Selenite is believed to have cleansing properties and can clear other crystals.

6. Visualization or Intention: Hold the stones in your hands and visualize them being filled with pure, cleansing energy. Set the intention for the stones to be cleared of any negative energy.

Remember, not all stones are compatible with all cleansing methods. Some stones can dissolve, rust, or become damaged when exposed to water, salt, or sunlight. It's crucial to research the specific properties of each stone before choosing a cleansing method.
